The above statement is part of a technical specification of an electrical utility. In a normal world, you would expect safety of the personnel to come first and the rest to be next. But here we place the safety of the plant first and then comes the personnel in it.
You would be living in a fantasy world, if you had assumed that machines were just here to serve and make our lives better. It is quite ironical to know that presently our goal is to make sure that the machines are running, even if we are not making our lives better….

Pleasures in life
- Getting up at 3pm in the afternoon
- The first thing you eat is Butterscotch Ice Cream
- The only thing you eat for next 4 hours is an entire tub of Butterscotch
- Fill up the leftover space in your tummy with Lindt Dark Chocolate
- Watch Star Trek till you fall asleep
- Repeat the above steps for 5 days
- Bunk the office for 5 days doing this

According to the “Art of War“, one should know when he can fight a battle and when he cannot. I have finally come to the realisation, that some battles are not worth it. So as of today, I am giving up something which I had cared for all these 4 years just to avoid a messy situation. Somebody came up to me and asked me today, Why did you give up so easily ? All I could manage was to quote Bernard Shaw, “I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig, you get dirty; and besides, the pig likes it“.
